I took two photos because it looks different in different light — it’s all one shade, it’s just the way the light’s hitting it that makes it look like different shades. I like it. I hope my friends/family don’t make rude comments. They tend to do that. Anyway, I’m gonna go clean house at a church fair bingo. Those old babushkis aint got nothing on my mad bingo skills. I just got my hair professionally colored

The “temporary” color I used to dye my hair pink awhile ago left big blotches of uneven color behind and it looked a hot mess. The colorist told me i could either strip the color and try to dye back to my natural color, or dye over everything in a darker color. I chose option #2 to save my hair from being processed two times and to save some money.

I’m really nervous to see what Kurt says. He made a comment the other day about how much he missed my natural color. I think he’s going to be bummed. 

I’m also worried about my friends and family will say. I am surrounded by a bunch of BRUTALLY honest people, and they don’t hesitate to tell me when they hate my outfit/hair/makeup/etc. 

At least I like it. That’s what counts, right?

I’ll take photos at some point. Sorry for this long rant and not posting a photo. ;p

Some of Kurt&#8217;s birthday presents I&#8217;ll be giving him tomorrow. He really has a thing for maps, so I went to the main branch of the Carnegie Library and asked a researcher for some help finding old ones. He found an atlas full of maps from 1876 and guess what? On that map in the upper right hand corner, I found Kurt&#8217;s street! I hope he likes them. I felt pretty clever when I was photocopying these at the library. DIY gifts are my favorite.

Guess who’s finally getting health coverage?

I just remembered that many of you guys know about my struggles with living in the US and being uninsured. Well guess what? This lady did her homework and is finally getting some help!

I went to a sliding scale health clinic yesterday. They looked at my financials and said that based on their system, I would pay $30 for a doctor’s visit and $50 for a dentist’s visit. That covers basically anything those visits entail aside from lab tests they have to send out of surgery and things like that. Even if I get x-rays at the dentist and 3 cavities filled, it will still only cost me $50! Yay!

I also applied for women’s coverage so I can get reduced rate gyno exams and related services. I’ll hear if I’ve been approved for that within 30 days.

So I have my first doctor’s appointment tomorrow in like 7 years! (Aside from emergency visits to the ER that happened in the meantime.)

I’m so happy!

GUESS WHO JUST GOT APPROVED FOR A HOME EQUITY LOAN

Yeah, I know this isn’t the most relatable announcement for some of you, but can I get a hallelooo from my grownup followers?

It’s super crazy hard to get approved for a home equity loan when you’re self employed, because basically every bank and credit union assumes that you’re one of those people who says “I’m self employed” but really means “I live inside a cocoon of cats and do nothing with my life.” Finally, I was able to verify that I am in fact, a hard-working lady with a clear title and blah blah blah. 

I have been struggling to get this loan for like, 3 months and it has been the most obnoxious process ever — meanwhile, my roof has continued to turn into roof vapor and float away. 

So yeah, this week has been one awesome thing after another. I must remember this week for all time so when I’m feeling down I can remember good times happen.

And now, I’ve print those pictures and I’m going to pin them on my wall. This way, anytime I want to skip a workout, I have a pretty good remember do not do that.  ( I’m sorry, the points of view are different - especially in the 2nd one, I tried to have the same point - I wanted a front view of my butt ahah -, but I’ve failed).  Anyway. My butt is still here. And it doesn’t seems like he want to take some vacation far away or just leave me alone. Bummer T_T.  Oh, hello person with my body type! Very motivational!
