Want to stop hating your body?
Step #1: Realize who forced you to start hating it in the first place.
I can’t recommend this documentary enough.

Scarlet Johansen’s cellulite. Most women have it. It’s normal, and it doesn’t make you any less gorgeous.
Q:I'm really interested in this anti pro ana thing. I'm trying to report a few pro ana blogs but I don't know how. Should I report only the verbally encouraging blogs or also the blogs posting pro ana pics? I don't want to harm people who need help.
Here’s what Tumblr prohibits in their Content Policy:
“Promotion and Glorification of Self-Harm. Don’t post content that actively promotes or glorifies self-harm. This includes content that urges or encourages readers to cut or injure themselves; embrace anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders; or commit suicide rather than, e.g., seeking counseling or treatment, or joining together in supportive conversation with those suffering or recovering from depression or other conditions. Dialogue about these behaviors is incredibly important and online communities can be extraordinarily helpful to people struggling with these difficult conditions. We aim to sustain Tumblr as a place that facilitates awareness, support and recovery, and to remove only those blogs that cross the line into active promotion or glorification of self-harm.”
So before reporting a blog, I’d advise you to use your best judgement to determine if the blog in question violates this policy. (If it doesn’t, Tumblr won’t suspend it anyway, and you’ll just be wasting your time.)
To report a blog just email the url to abuse@tumblr.com with a few sentences about why you think the blog violates tumblr’s content policies.
This policy is all about protecting users, and you shouldn’t feel bad about helping tumblr uphold it.

Q:I follow fitblogs and they discourage ED but they post pics of ppl with perfect stomachs and it's upsetting for me because I have a ED and I also want to look like that. I work out and eat right but I feel sad because I still don't look a certain way.
This is one of the reasons I post bodies of all shapes and sizes.
I love fitness, working out, and aspiring to be a healthier me, but it’s really important to remember that what that looks like is different for every person.
I’d encourage you to search the body positive tag, the self esteem tag, the body acceptance tag, the fat positive tag etc to find some new blogs to follow. Seeing beautiful bodies of all sizes and stories of self acceptance and self love on your dash might help nix the negative vibes you’re feeling from the onslaught of steely abs.
Your body is not the best thing about you. Your body is not the worst thing about you.
Don’t let your obsession over it ruin your life.
Q:Hi I was reading through the pro-ana post and I came across a blog: nothing-to-see-but-broken-me and I think you should send them some encouraging words.
Please send this user some positive words of encouragement, guys. : )

While you’re coveting someone else’s body, someone else is busy coveting yours. Imagine how much happier we’d all be if we could embrace the bodies we have.
Your body can do more than you give it credit for.
Q:Do you believe in starvation mode? I'm having a little trouble trying to work out what to believe. :)
Yes and no.
Yes, I believe that if the body if forced to live on a very low calorie diet, the body will adapt, the thyroid will function differently and the body will begin maintaining weight at a much lower level of calories.
No, I don’t believe that weight loss will completely stop. There’s a reason why people actually starve to death.
That said, it’s important to stick to a higher calorie diet so as not to impair thyroid function and to ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs — because food is also about vitamins, minerals, proteins etc, not just calories.
